I have been making recordings for myself and others for a fair few years and have built up a wide range of recording experience, including everything from bands to choirs to orchestras, jazz ensembles, drumming ensembles, voice overdubs, storytelling and more.
Comfortable in both hardware and computer-based studio set-ups, with experience of Pro Tools, Cubase SX, Logic and Reason. Mobile fully professional (Pro Tools) multi-track recording services offered.

I studied a BSc in Music Acoustics and Recording at Salford University (2001 – 2004). I then moved to London and have since been working as a recording and live engineer with various people in various places. Previous people and places include; Livingstone Studios, Riverside Studios, Red Bull Music Academy, Queens Hall Edinburgh, St Martin in the Fields, Les Enfants Terribles at Edinburgh Fringe, 1001 Cafe, Guanabara, End Of The Road Festival, Cholmondleys and Featherstonehaughs Dance company, Mark Lockheart, Rowland Sutherland, Jean Toussaint, Byron Wallen, Orphy Robinson, Empirical, The Soothsayers, Finn Peters, United Vibrations, The Puppini Sisters…. I was also employed by Trinity College Of Music, London as a recording engineer for 6 years, recording a diverse range of staff and student projects in the college studio as well as on location and in concert.

I am also a musician, I compose and produce music as well as performing and recording as a bass guitar player and occasionally on piano and accordion. I believe this strengthens my appreciation of the recording process as a whole and therefore makes me a better informed engineer/producer.

I have a fully portable recording setup so am able to make quality multitrack recordings (up to 12 channels simultaneously) just about anywhere with a power socket. Live gigs, recitals, concerts, location recordings, overdubbing multitrack sessions plus all post production duties.
