I have been playing accordion since i was 15 and instantly knew I'd found my calling. I have been a professional musician ever since I left school and have been lucky enough to be full time with music since 2000. I have played in many bands over the years, in country and western, under-ground american pop bands, wedding function bands, scottish dance bands and in ceilidh bands. I have played the accordion for the church, the piano for the priest, and sang songs for the drunks in some of the dodgiest pubs in the world and played for pensioners in old folks homes. I even played in the Copacabana Palace in Rio with a scottish dance band, The Music Hall in Aberdeen, on a boat from Aberdeen to Shetland (more than 30 times up and back), almost every Island in Orkney, The Ross Open air Theatre in Princess Gardens in Edinburgh, The 'O' nest in Tokyo, The University of Kyoto in Japan, The imperial Palace in Riga (Latvia), the Ceilidh tent at T in the Park (7 times), Norway, Hungary, Italy, Chile, Brazil, Spain, Ireland, Northern Ireland, England....(I'm getting bored now)...Turriff, Banff, Aberdeen, Inverurie, Ballater, Auchterturra,.......Onyhoo.

With the One Man Ceilidh band you are going to get a nice sound with lively music. I will cost less than a good ceilidh band and sound better than most cheap ones even though I am on my own. I will call all your dances too. I am an old hand at Ceilidh music. I started the Iron Broo Ceilidh Band in 1992 and have been in charge of running it ever since. When it comes to Ceilidh - I know what you want and I know how to deliver. I may look very calm and relaxed and pleasant to look at, but rest assured that under the calm exterior there are many levers working to make sure everything runs smoothly. It is my calling in life to give you the best experience of a Ceilidh possible that one man can deliver and I've never had any complaints yet!

A measure of my flexibility is that even if you can't get your head round the one man ceilidh band idea or the possibility, I do actually have many friends that I can bring in to suit your needs if you do have money to spend on the extra man power I'll be happy to oblige. Even though that would mean that I'm not really a One Man Ceilidh Band anymore!
