Colin and Heather, half of the Fitzwilliam String Quartet, a.k.a. the Scobie Duo, are a London-based professional violin- cello duo which provides background or featured music for any occasion.

Both Colin and Heather are accomplished soloists. In 2010, Heather performed Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 2 with the Academy of St. Olave's in York and Colin performed the Dvorak Violin Concerto with the Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra. Heather has given numerous recitals in Canada, the UK and Europe, including the Bach cello suites on Martin Randall Travel's 'Bach Journey' in Germany. Colin has won prizes in the 6th International Telemann Competition, RCM Early Music Competition, and the Edinburgh Festival Competition.

The Scobie Duo has future professional engagements at the Corn Exchange in Newbury, Fitzwilliam College in Cambridge and at London Sutton House.

The Scobie Duo provides background music for any occasion such as weddings, receptions, parties and more. The styles of background music are classical and traditional. Special requests are welcome. Classical repertoire includes music by Bach, Handel, Telemann, Bartok and Kodaly.
