Capoeira is the epitome of a vibrant Brazilian Culture!
Capoeira is a 400 year old Brazilian Martial Art born out of oppression and slavery, that combines Dance, Acrobatics, Martial Art Acrobatic Kicks performed to LIVE music, Afro-Brazilian percussion instruments and claps with Call and Response singing.
ACER Capoeira has a group of 8-15 performers dressed in white T-shirt and Trousers or when topless (boys only, girls in crop top), we have body paint.
Each performance could be as short as 5 minutes to a maximum 20 minutes long which could be spread up to 4 times along the day.
The first part of a performance is a SOLO performance by each Capoeirista which consists of slow, controlled movements to show strength, flexibility and body/mind control, while the others sing and play instruments.
In the second part, two people take turns in interacting with very fast Capoeira movements together.
The conclusion of the performance is an energetic show featuring high flying acrobatics, fast kicks and plenty of audience participation with clapping and singing to a very fast and energetic rhythm.
