Based around South East England The Alex Bondonno Quintet is a modern jazz group, performing modern jazz and jazz funk.
The Alex Bondonno Quintet performs at weddings, events, festivals and clubs all over the country
The ensemble also performs as the 6 piece function band, MOONDANCE. Under this guise the group perform at weddings, functions and corporate events. The group is extremely flexible and can perform music from a wide range of styles: Jazz, Latin, Swing and Soul, and so can suit any occasion or audience.

With vocalist Gary Wright they can perform the most superb Rat Pack sets Come Fly With Me, Mack The Knife, Beyond The Sea, etc... Female singers Sue Rivers or Jackie Samson evoke the sounds ranging from the jazz of Ella Fitzgerald, to the soul of Aretha Franklin, and Nina Simone.

The group is very experienced and they take pride in their professionalism. They take care to create the event that YOU desire, be it through softly played background music, sophisticated swing dance sets, or the liveliest party nights.
What do they play:

Moondance normally works as a 5 piece group. They specialise in the performance of Swing Latin and Rat pack numbers. However they are very versatile, and also love playing funk and soul numbers, and so can keep any audience entertained.

Their music is great for functions, as it appeals to guests across a wide age range. Classic swing numbers such as "Fly me to the moon" will get everybody on their feet at the start of an evening, rhythmic latin tunes such as "Sway" will keep the temperature hot, before finishing an event with a bang: perhaps "Dancing in the moonlight"? Standard lineup for the band is:
Vocals, Saxophone, Piano, Bass, Drums.
They also often add a second vocalist and / or guitarist to this lineup when space, and budget allows.
A 2nd (female) vocalist will add more variety to the evening. We would recommend also booking a guitarist if the focus for the evening is going to be Soul / funk set rather than Swing.
