An experienced player and teacher of ukulele and guitar, Clive has played in bands or solo all over the UK, sometimes abroad, on TV, radio and records. He appeared on Chris Tarrant's anarchic kids' TV show Tiswas, has played onstage with Sir Paul McCartney and performed at one of his Christmas parties. He has supported Van Morrison, Debbie Harry, Fairport Convention and late legends Lonnie Donegan and Victoria Wood, among others.

Clive, now based in Devon, teaches private ukulele and guitar lessons (online between March 2020 and March 2022), runs occasional ukulele workshops, plays gigs in southwest and southern England and occasionally beyond. He has been playing ukulele since the age of 4!

Clive can perform from a stage or fixed spot, through a PA if necessary, but for private functions his preferred format is acoustic walkabout - the "Strolling Ukulele Minstrel" - no stage, no amplification, no wires, no setting up, no sound-checking, simple, direct, low-tech, flexible. He moves among the guests playing ukulele and singing, up close foreground or background music as required. It works very well. He has a wide repertoire for all occasions, including classic pops, standards, novelty songs and seasonal favourites. He also writes his own songs and instrumentals. In recent years Hawaiian and "tiki" themes have become an increasingly popular choice and, as you will see from the photo gallery, Clive just loves donning a Hawaiian shirt and lei! Hawaiian-themed weddings, parties and corporate events have become something of a speciality for him.
