Down for the Count are an exciting dynamic and versatile function band performing a huge range of hits from the Jazz Rat Pack Soul and Motown eras. A fantastic female vocalist is backed by a youthful and experienced 5- or 8-piece band providing unforgettable live entertainment at great value. The band is also available as a 3-6 piece jazz band creating the perfect atmosphere for cocktail parties and dinner events.

Members have performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, on BBC television, and are regularly employed for session work throughout the UK. The band regularly performs at corporate events and private functions all over the country, including prestigious venues in London such as The Berkeley Hotel, The Imagination Gallery and Inns of Court, and at other venues throughout the UK including Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons and Magdalen College Oxford. Previous clients include E-ON UK, Mellon Ltd, Goldcrest Land and The Royal Air Force.

Every performance is planned individually to make sure the band meet your event requirements. From choosing the perfect line-up to suit your event, to smaller details such as the dress code, special requests and performance times, Down for the Count aim to be completely flexible to ensure you get the perfect entertainment for your event.

The 9-piece band fits into a very small performance space and is perfect for any venue and any sized audience from 40 people to 400+. The band is self-contained with a 1125W PA system as standard and lighting rig with effects. Recorded music between sets is provided free of charge along with a microphone for speeches.
