With a rich and characterful voice mature beyond his years, Edward Randell's jazz ensemble can bring class and sophistication to any event. Influenced by the great male vocalists from Frank Sinatra and Mel Tormé to Jon Hendricks and Kurt Elling, Edward's love of the Great American Songbook shines through on his interpretations of classic and well-loved jazz standards. His broad repertoire also stretches to modern jazz material, reworkings of rock and folk material, and original songs.
Edward has sung everywhere from New York’s Alice Tully Hall to London’s Purcell Room to Dortmund Opera House, as well as appearing on BBC One's Last Choir Standing and Radio 3's The Choir. He is a mainstay of award-winning Paris-based vocal jazz group The Voice Messengers, and is much in demand with vocal ensembles and a cappella groups due to his extraordinary bass range.
Edward performs with first-class musicians from the London jazz scene: usually in a quartet (piano, bass, drums + vocals), but this is flexible depending on your event and your budget. For background music a trio (no drums) works well, and adding horns makes for a great party atmosphere
