Pascal was born into a musical family in Auckland, New Zealand and grew up by the bush in North Shore. Classically trained from the age of three, he spent much of his youth playing and leading orchestras. Pascal then moved onto playing Jazz… and then everything else in the music world.
ViolinistPlaying in Irish rock bands in pubs all around Auckland, New Zealand, he soon became a legend in the scene. Pascal performed solos in New Zealand’s most prestigious venues such as Aotea Centre, St. James Theatre and Auckland Town Hall. While he lived in New Zealand he gave concert tours around China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong and Australia where he performed at the Sydney Opera House.
In 2002 Pascal was invited to perform as a residential artist in Ibiza for the whole summer season. After the summer he then moved to London, where he is currently based. Since moving to London, he has performed all around UK, including the performance on top of the Ben Nevis in 2004 and “The Venue” in Isle of Man. Pascal regularly performs with bands and DJs at London’s exciting venues such as the Cargo, the Spitz, the Spice of Life Bar, Half Moon, Jongeleurs in Camden Town, etc…
Pascal is quite well known for his virtuosity playing and super fast fingers. He was invited to be the first person ever to perform the violin part of “Monty on the Run” from Commodore 64 in London Soho in 2003. Pascal was also spotted while busking with a didgeridoo player and a guitarist in Covent Garden and was recorded for the Best of London’s Street Musicians CD by EM marketing. He has also been featured in a number of national radio programmes including BBC 2 and BBC Radio 6. His most recent recordings include albums with Sanctuary Records and EMI Records.
In 2005 Pascal performed for the opening performance of the “David Blunkett: the Musical” in the Soho Theatre. Pascal was also invited back to perform in Brighton Festival and the Edinburgh Festival as well as making a guest appearance at the BAFTA awards ceremony. In September 2005 he started studying the Masters Degree in Jazz Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
