Naomi Tagg is a sensational electric violinist who has captivated audiences around the world with her unconventional approach to an increasingly popular instrument. At the forefront of cutting edge performance, Naomi has successfully combined the electric violin with contemporary music to create a dazzling, upbeat show or a more background Café del Mar-style lounge set.

With performances in over 10 countries and 3 continents, Naomi has shared the stage with top names including Sir Elton John, John Legend, Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Soweto String Quartet, Sibongile Khumalo and Arno Carstens, to name a few.

Armed with her futuristic electric violin, Naomi is just as comfortable performing on the catwalk as in a club, at a festival, in a theatre or at a party. Her versatility as a musician has taken her performances to Sir Richard Branson & Peter Gabriel, Arabian Royalty, African leaders, the Seychelles, Mauritius, Monaca, Russia and the Baltic Sea, Victoria Falls in Zambia, South Africa and many of London’s prestigious venues including the Tate Britain, the Gherkin, Royal Academy of the Arts, Madame Tussauds and the Ritz.

Previous highlights include the Elton John Charity Ball in Cape Town with Sir Elton John and Blue, Virgin X-Box Launch for Richard Branson and Peter Gabriel, Argentinean artist, Fabian Perez, for his UK exhibition, Cosmopolitan Awesome Women and for the Richmond International brand. Fashion shows include Miss South Africa, Positive Rocks (an AIDS benefit concert and fashion show with John Legend), Miss Bikini World, South African Fashion Week, Cape Town Fashion Week and many others. Naomi has also performed at the South African Music Awards, the summit for African leaders and the South African government.

Given her background in classical and jazz studies at the University of Cape Town and pitch perfect ear, Naomi is a versatile musician as well as composer, making her a sought after session artist for many genres. She has recorded many albums from Rock & Pop to Jazz and Electro on both violin and viola. Her latest album credits include Ou est le Swimming Pool and she has composed music for TV commercials that have been aired worldwide. Having recently completed a highly successful 3 month run as the featured speciality act in Cromer’s Seaside Summer Special at the Pavilion Theatre, Naomi is currently performing across the UK as electric violinist and improviser with London’s top DJ’s.
