Elizabeth York is in demand to play her harps for weddings and other special days, using her elegant antique gilded pedal harp, her smaller celtic harp or her stunning blue electroharp, at venues from Kensington Palace and the Tower of London, to countless hotels and other venues in many counties. She has been playing harps for events for over 20 years and has an extensive and varied repertoire of light classical, jazz and popular music, and also of atmospheric celtic and traditional music to please a wide range of tastes. She also has a repertoire of Bollywood music

Elizabeth studied music at Leeds University, and later gained a post-graduate diploma in music therapy from Bristol University. Her background in playing traditional music as well as classical, and her experience as a music therapist have helped to make Elizabeth a versatile and sensitive musician, who is equally happy playing from music or by ear, improvising when appropriate, fitting the music to the timing and mood of the occasion.

She enjoys helping people choose the music for their occasion, varying it to suit individual preferences. Her professional and friendly approach and her musicianship are appreciated, as shown by the many letters of thanks she receives.
It is often possible for Elizabeth to add one or two new pieces to her repertoire for an occasion, either from music or by ear from a recording.
