The gatsby saxophone quartet plays the music of the 1920s/30s and 40s on vintage saxophones, aiming to create an authentic period sound. The quartet was resident for a time at the art deco hotel in morecambe and has performed at the Teignmouth jazz festival, St John's, Smith Square. the Arundel and Hatherleigh Festivals as well as for functions at the BBC, the Natural History Museum, the Commonwealth Institute, the opening of the Dali Universe at County Hall, private showings at Christies and at parties and dances around the UK and Europe. The quartet's music was also used on the soundtrack to the Michael Palin New Europe series on BBC TV.
