American diva, recording artist and Ronnie Scott's regular Kai Hoffman has performed on three continents, from the Royal Albert Hall to the Sheraton Hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh!

Kai Hoffman is best known for her vintage swing and jump jive band Kai’s Cats -- whose monthly residency at the UK’s top jazz venue, Ronnie Scott’s, is a Time Out Critic’s Choice event, now in its second year! Originally from the USA, Kai is a wonderfully versatile singer and recording artist, with a huge repertoire of songs ranging from early 1920s bluesy numbers to Rat Pack belters and mellow 60s motown. With her smaller combos, Kai’s remarkable, accomplished voice really shines through – and always receives rave reviews, both for her vocals and the excellent quality of her musicians.

In an intimate duo with piano or guitar, or with her trio, of piano and double bass, Kai’s Jazz Bands offer the perfect background for your corporate event, wedding reception or cocktail party. With the addition of drums, Kai’s Quartet can flexibly offer sets of background music and music for dancing later on. Kai is a sought-after performer for weddings, and absolutely loves singing brides down the aisle, performing the first dance, and keeping guests of all ages entertained.

A classically-trained musician and singer, Kai herself studied at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, the Hochschule fuer Musik in Cologne, Germany, and the Royal College of Music in London. She has performed on three continents, and loves living in London!!

Kai’s Trio

- with vocals, piano and double bass, this ensemble has a characteristic jazz sound, and performs similar repertoire to Kai’s Duo – the great swing and Latin jazz standards of the 30s, 40s and 50s, as well as classic pop. Perfectly elegant dinner jazz, background ambiance and style!

Kai’s Quartet

- with vocals, piano, double bass and drum kit, this is the classic jazz band combo! With the addition of drums, this group is very versatile, performing swing and Latin jazz, classic pop and rock and roll, as well as funkier material. Kai’s Quartet is perfect for background music during your reception and dancing later on.
