Emma (bass and vocals) met Iliyan (keyboards, percussions, vocals) at high school and ever since they have been a musical partnership on stage. They both come from a serious classical background, Emma as a violinist, Iliyan as a percussionist and pianist, both with scores of classical concerts under their belt. A wonderful mixture of experience and inspiration, Jazz Bite always get the audience going, whatever the occasion. They do all sorts of events.

They model themselves on artists such as Randy Crawford, Anita O'Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, Sting and more – with influences like these it is no surprise they call themselves Jazz Bite and compose jazz. When it comes to pleasing an audience, however, they are extremely versatile with a massive repertoire including soul, rhythm ’n’ blues, pop and rock from the 50s onward and, needless to say, jazz standards.

“We call ourselves Jazz Bite because we are into interpreting jazz. We don't put ourselves in the category of jazz musicians and don't try to categorize our music at all. We just give ourselves the freedom of interpretation and that is what we call a ‘bite of jazz’.”
