La Dolce Vita conjures up the glamorous atmosphere of Italy in the 1950s and 1960s with Italian pop songs and jazz of the era.

Our repertoire features swinging tunes, romantic ballads, sensual rumbas and crazy twist songs made famous by artists such as Marino Marini, Peppino di Capri and Gianni Morandi. These are blended with jazz and latin standards and 50s/60s pop to create a uniquely fun and entertaining mood. We dress in a suitably retro ‘Dolce Vita’ fashion, completing the perfect package of vintage style for special occasions, events and wedding celebrations.

Sparkling vocalist Sarah draws inspiration for the act from her Italian ancestry, along with a collection of 45” singles her Mum brought back from Italian holidays in the early 1960s. Guitarist Steve adds his sublime musicality, with his accomplished playing forming the solid, swinging heart of the music.

As a duo, we can provide a beautiful background ambience for any part of your event or special day. And we can add saxophone/flute, bass and drums to expand to a vibrant full band for dancing, with a twist!

We’ve recently found ourselves in demand by couples who have had their wedding ceremony in Italy and want to recreate that romantic atmosphere back in the UK for celebrations and anniversaries.
