The Marylebone Trio was formed in 2003 by postgraduate students at the Royal Academy of Music. The Trio has given recitals to appreciative audiences around the UK, including appearances at the Stratford-upon-Avon Festival, Deal Festival, Newport Music Club, National Portrait Gallery and Warwick Arts Centre. The trio has also performed many recitals on board cruise ships, travelling to countries including Australia, Hong Kong, Norway and Russia.

As well as recital work, the trio provides background music for events, including numerous weddings, a garden party in the presence of HRH Prince Edward and Prince Andrew, playing for Marks and Spencer’s 75th anniversary at their flagship store on Oxford Street, and a performance in the unusual setting of Marylebone Station for the launch of a new Chiltern Railways service.

The Trio’s repertoire is wide and varied, and ideal for bringing a touch of elegance and class to your event. Our classical repertoire includes music by composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Bizet, Verdi, Handel and Brahms, and we also have a selection of lighter works by songwriters including Gershwin, Jerome Kern and Scott Joplin. Much of the music is arranged by the trio, and we pride ourselves on being able to organise for just about any special musical requests to be catered for.
