A classic singer/double bass player, whether in the Ella Fitzgerald swing or Dusty Springfield soul mould! Widely recognised as one of the classiest and accomplished jazz/swing vocalists in the UK. With her unique talent as a swinging vocalist and double bass player she has accumulated over twenty years of professional experience in the music business and performed with some of the worlds top musicians - whether headlining or playing alongside such greats as Georgie Fame, Alan Price, Claire Teale, Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth appearing as guest artist on cruise ships or at festivals and theatres throughout Great Britain and abroad.
Yorkshire-based, Nicola offers a variety of musical styles and line-ups to try and suit the different needs of prospective clients. It could be a jazz duo – with vocals, piano and double bass – to create a chilled, laid-back atmosphere for an afternoon get together, drinks reception or through dinner - or it could be a jazz band that starts the night off with favourite swing and Latin numbers and ends up with some classic pops to finish the night with a bang!
