The Romanza Quartet is a professional quartet which consists of some of the country's finest young string players. Our members have extensive experience as soloists, orchestral musicians and as part of chamber music ensembles. They play with some of the best orchestras in the U.K. including the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. Members have also worked with Russell Watson, Katherine Jenkins, Chris de Burgh, Kanye West and Gorillaz, amongst others. The Romanza Quartet have featured regularly as guest artists on board the Saga Cruise Ships.
Our quartet has a wealth of experience when it comes to providing music for weddings, corporate events and other functions. With our versatile mix of classical, pop and jazz we have music to suit every occasion. In addition, if there is anything that you wish us to play that we do not already have in our repertoire, it is possible for us to commission arrangements.
The Romanza Quartet prides itself on its professionalism. We discuss particular preferences with the client in advance to ensure that they are satisfied on the day and we will go out of our way to make sure that everything is perfect for your wedding or event.

We need a performance space of about 3m squared. We need four chairs without arms and decent lighting where possible. We don’t need power and bring our own music stands and music or iPads and stands.
We are self-contained and can bring stand lighting if interior lighting is low.

We have played aboard cruise ships and seen the world! Our favourite trip was sailing from Fremantle in Australia to Capetown in South Africa.
We are constantly impressed with how well modern music transfers over to the string quartet medium. Who would have thought Taylor Swift and Beyoncé would sound so good on strings!
We have over twenty years’ experience gigging around the country. We started in the north and then relocated south about 15 years ago. We have played for many varying events including military dinners, cruise ship concerts, weddings, birthday parties and even the odd funeral!
We love playing at weddings! They are our bread and butter and every one is SO special to us. We love playing a small but significant part in a couple’s most important day.
