Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Our space requirements are something like 3.5m deep by 4.5m across min (bit more would be better still) If it is in a marquee then we do however need a solid, flat, horizontal surface to set up on which is especially crucial for the drummer and pianist/ keyboardist.
Minimum requirements are 2 separate 13 amp supplies within 3 metres of the performance area (so if inside just 2 separate sockets in the vicinity of the band area.If in a marquee, 2 supplies taken from different sockets or 2 sockets from a generator with enough input to handle it (something like a 4KW supply))

Including our sound engineer

For the very best results and/or if you need the quickest set up possible then bringing in our sound engineer as well would be a good choice. With this option the sound engineer can help set up the PA system and also adjust the balance of the band as we go.It is fine just setting the balance at the start and then leaving it but you get an even better sound if someone is constantly on it. It also means the band can completely concentrate on performing without having to attend to technical issues.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes. We are completely self contained. We bring our own PA and also a 4 light lighting rig.

What information do you require about a venue?

We can sort this nearer the time but we would probably speak with the venue co-ordinator. Knowing the size of the performance space and whether there is a sound limiter would be helpful to know.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

We will play our generic playlist through our PA before and during our sets. We are also happy to play your playlist through our PA too.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

It has to be the main stage at the Dart Music Festival. The sun was shining, the crowd loved what we did and we got rebooked!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Swing: Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack and Michael Buble.
Pop, soul, motown: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We've been working as a band for over 20 years. We initially came together as like minded musicians wanting to go out and play great music for weddings, parties and more.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We embrace them all. It's the vibe of the event not the type of event which gets us most excited.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

2 x 1hr sets. We find this works best. If however if 3x 40 mins fit into their timings better we can do that as well (both generally over a 3hr period)
We like to allow 90 mins for set up. That said if a quicker set up is required we can be more prepared and we can probably get it done in about hour from gaining access to the space.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes but we need to make sure our electrical equipment is safe from the rainy British wedding which generally means we will need some cover over the stage area like a gazebo.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

You can have an input as to what we play from our extensive playlist.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

The best wedding band they have ever seen!
