Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I can perform without a power supply, but if I am amplified with my own small guitar amp or PA system I will need to have access to a 13 amp power socket

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes I can provide at no extra cost my own PA system and lighting

What information do you require about a venue?

I would need to know any directions that will help me find the venue and find the right place to load in my equipment.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I'm happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between my set. I'm happy to choose the music my self or let the client choose the music/their own playlist

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I've played at many prestigious venues including Claridges, The Dorchester Hotel, Blenheim Palace, Leeds Castle, The Clapham Grand... As well as many intimate dinner parties and receptions that I equally enjoyed.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

James Taylor, Neil Young, John Martyn, Rat Pack, Beatles... Anything with great guitar work and vocal melodies.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I grew up in Melbourne Australia, where there is a great music scene. I gigged with the likes of INXS , Men at Work and Midnight Oil. It was a lot of fun for a young budding guitarist/singer. I moved to London to pursue my music career and collaborate with other musicians in a larger scene and have enjoyed a fantastic career working with some great artists, including as the singer/guitarist for funk soul band Freeez. I’ve also recorded music for TV programmes such as Billy Connolly’s Tracks Across America.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I enjoy playing at all sorts of events from laidback acoustic background music to parties playing music for guests to dance to.

Can you play and sing while guests are chatting, for example at a champagne drinks reception?

Yes I'm happy to play a background event like a champagne drinks reception. I know the type of music to play while still engaging an audience without disturbing conversations.

Are you happy to play unplugged (no amplification)?

Yes I am happy to play without amplification for smaller intimate events.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I usually arrive half an hour before the performance to set up - depending on whether a PA system and/or lighting is required. I'm quite flexible, I'm happy to set up before guests arrive at the venue for example. I normally perform 3 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. It can be shorter or longer depending on the type of events it is.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes I am happy to play outside. If amplification is required I would need a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I can learn specific songs before the event but I usually limit this to 2-3 songs. The clients are welcome to pick songs from my repertoire that they would like to have included at the event.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

All my clients have been happy with my performance. I am flexible on types of music required and understand that sometimes the timings of the function can change. Most importantly the most common description of my performance is that I'm easy to work with, I have a great voice and I'm a great guitarist.
