Biography

Tim has been a professional musician for 20 years. Starting as a bass trombone player in touring opera and freelance jazz and theatre musician through College and the cruise ships, to touring with Stomp.
Tim is currently a general musician for the Lost and Found Orchestra just returned from LA after a US tour. Also performed around the world including the Sydney Opera House, Royal Festival Hall and the Carre Theatre Amsterdam, as well as TV appearances. He plays hosepipe, vibraphone, plumpet (plastic trumpet) and general household objects in a show created by the dance and percussion group Stomp.
As a classical player Tim performs with Talkestra, the contemporary music ensemble, and freelance Orchestral concerts. Recent Talkestra concerts include Stravinski's The Soldiers Tale and Matthew Hindsons funk inspired piece Comin right Atcha.
As a theatre musician, Tim has worked on many shows and tours on stage as well as in the pit, recently on the Round the Horne tour. He worked for four years on the cruise ships supporting acts and shows, for Norwegian Cruise Lines in the showband on the M/S Norwegian Majesty and Norwegian Dream, Carnival Cruise Lines on the Jubilee and Celebration, Saga Cruise Lines on the Saga Rose and with Swan Hellenic on the Minerva.
As a jazz musician, Tim performs with Spirit, a sextet playing originals by Simon D'Souza and his own group the Tim Wade Nonet which is a tribute to Miles Davis' Birth of the Cool. He is a regular with many bands including the Blunter Brothers funk band and Caliente Cuban Salsa. In his jazz career he has worked with mainstream artists Digby Fairweather and Bill Le Sage as well as modern jazz giant George Russell and British greats Nick Smart, Jo Fooks, Zoe Rahman, Charlote Glasson and Buster Birch. He also worked for many years with his own sextet and the swing band Rockin’ in Ryhthm.
As a recording artist Tim works as a solo artist or with his Horn section The Horns on TV jingles and theme tunes, library and film music.

Tim is an arranger for singers and cabaret inlcuding the Texan pop band ‘Toby Beau’ and the Vavavavoom and Kroon Kat cabarets. He gives arranging and improvisation workshops and has tutored for the Postgraduate jazz course at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Tim studied with Alan Seymour ( Jo Loss ) and then in 1996 studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston with Phil Wilson ( Woody Herman ) followed by postgraduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Scott Stroman. He continues to study with Lindsay Schilling (principal Royal Opera House).
Before College Tim played bass trombone for Regency and New Sussex Opera and was a brass coach and freelancing tenor trombone player for theatre, jazz and function bands.
