The Urban Blue Trio is a highly talented, flexible and experienced jazz trio ideal for all events where background music is required, especially weddings and corporate events.

Although trio is our most popular line-up, Urban Blue can range in size from a duo up to a quintet.

For a laid back sophisticated mood to accompany dinner or drinks, the Urban Blue vocal repertoire includes jazz and bossa nova standards made famous by Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as the easy listening songs of artists such as Norah Jones and mellow soul classics such as "Walk On By" and "You’ve Got A Friend".

If you don't require a singer, our instrumental groups play jazz standards, smooth jazz grooves, latin music, funk and classic ballads to create the perfect atmosphere for your event. You can request a duo, trio or quartet led by the saxophone or piano. We also provide solo cocktail piano.

We are usually happy to learn a song for a special occasion.

Talented and in demand, Urban Blue musicians have played with artists including Jools Holland, Alison Moyet, Michael Buble, Jamie Cullum, Vanessa Mae, The Sugababes, Brand New Heavies, Level 42 and Katie Melua and at prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scott's and Londons Jazz Café.
