About / Biography

Easy listening chilled guitar music for special occasions - restaurant's, family fetes, wine bars, special parties, exhibitions.
Jez is a self-taught guitarist who blends rich chord progressions with simple melodies interpreting classic songs such as Summertime, Nuages, Hotel California, Things we said today (Beatles) House of the rising sun, Nature boy, This Masquerade, Apache (Shadows), This Masquerade etc with some funky Sade like and gypsy jazz backings. He plays both pure nylon guitar and steel trung guitars that he has built himself and he can provide guitar synthesiser for adding saxophone, acoustic piano, organ and accordian which enrichens a performance depending on the occasion. He usually performs on the opening night of The Bath International Music Festival ('Party in the city') and has honed his music craft as a busker in Bath, serving particular restaurants. His guitar arrangements have been aired on radio including the BBC world Service. Realistically if it is a last minute booking 60 miles is a maximum Jez can travel by car with all sound equipment ready to fire up. Planned bookings can extend that distance limit.
