Matt first took up the classical guitar after hearing John Williams and Julian Bream. He studied at the City of Leeds College of music, learning both electric guitar under Jazz virtuoso Mike Walker, and classical guitar under the renowned guitar scholar Graham Wade. He has seen gone on to pursue a busy teaching career, combined with a hectic performing schedule of many different styles. He can often be found in theatres in London and the south east together with guitar, banjo and mandolin in the orchestra pit.
